Diana & Victor { Married }

Diana and Victor were a dream to work with.  They are two easy going souls with truly kind hearts.  The love they have for each other and their two beautiful daughters was completely obvious at all times.  I could have photographed the way these two look at each other for days!  The look Victor had as Diana walked down the aisle and the moment they shared right after being prounouced husband and wife was complete happiness.  I could literally feel their love just being around them.  I don’t think I stopped smiling the whole time I was with them 🙂

I will leave you with a few images from their day.  I am already hoping for another opportunity to photograph this incredible family as I just can’t get enough of them!

These gorgeous florals were done by Sarina of Bella Fiore Custom Floral Design.  You can check out her site here!

Wonderful, Kim! Love the different dress colors w/the flowers – also love the balloons! The last two are faves. You did a beautiful job as usual! 🙂

Kim, such lovely images. I love the one of Victor hugging his Dad and the black and white family portrait…..so radiant.
Their girls….seriously, could have hugged those babies up non stop…but restrained myself…most of the time :)Lovely detail shot of flower girl bouquet in sepia.
Also, you managed to capture Diana’s beauty and personality perfectly. The Girl just pops in each image!
Kim rocked the shoot!Oh yeah!

Wow, Kim, this wedding is fab-u-lous-o!

I really think the layout and coverage of details is awesome. One of the Bridesmaids is rocking a lavender dress, that my bridesmaid wore as well. We got it off ebay….I wonder if it is the same designer.

Anyways, loves it and would love to shoot with you one day.

XOXO Lisa

Dana & Scott {Married}

As I finish up editing Dana and Scott’s wedding, I can’t help but reflect on what a remarkable wedding they shared.  Their wedding held a special place in my heart for many reasons.  Dana was technically my first best friend ever – all the way back from grade two!  Dana and Scott have been HUGE supporters of my business, not only as clients, but by also sending so many wonderful new clients my way 🙂  Thanks guys!

These two have the most adorable son Marcus, whom I have had the pleasure of photographing since he was teency tiny.  To see him as the ring bearer at their wedding melted my heart.  Watching him walk down the aisle, ring box in hand, in his fancy shirt and tie was soooo stinkin cute!

Dana and I pretty much organized the same wedding.  We both had backyard weddings at our parent’s home.  We rented the exact same chairs.  We both had our receptions at the AMAZING Fireside Grill in Royal Oak.  Can’t say enough wonderful things about that venue and Siobhan who coordinates the weddings is sooo fabulous !!  We picked out the exact same bridesmaid dresses, just in different colours.  We had very similar dresses ourselves.  I could go on.  For all of these reasons and so much more, this wedding was so special to me.

Dana and Scott here are the last of your ‘teasers’.  Your images are almost finished !

Lots of love,

Kim

Massage Therapist Extraordinaire!

Avril and I have known each other since way back in elementary school.  I am so glad to still have her as my friend now !

Avril is an amazing massage therapist – I know first hand (pardon the pun!)  She helped me overcome my fear of massage after a traumatic Thai massage experience in Northern Thailand.  I am glad I made it out alive, with all limbs intact.  Darren did not fair as well, due to some flexibility induced exercises during the massage.  He probably has permanent muscle damage – no lie.  Ok, maybe I am exaggerating just a little.  But that Thai massage was one of the most painful and hilarious experiences of my life.  Avril has completely restored my faith in the lovely pleasure and healing power of massage.

I was my pleasure to assist with a headshot for her work’s website.  Av, I hope you like it.  I think you look beauuuuuuuuuutiful.  This was my first session using my new toy – the 50mm 1.4 for all you photographers out there.  And I am in love.  Yummy yummy lens !

Here is a little bio about Avril and a link below to her place of work in case you are interested in having a fabulous massage.

Being a native Victorian, Avril Crockatt thrives on the west coast lifestyle. Though she has traveled extensively, Avril finds Vancouver Island to be as unique as the other beautiful places she has visited. She graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2008 and is excited to be building her practice at the Cook Street Village Health Centre.

Avril’s passion for interacting with the public has developed over her 10 years as a lifeguard and swimming instructor, engendering a sense of accomplishment and a love for helping people.

Her active participation in sports, hiking and other physical activity inspired her to obtain a certificate in personal training.

Avril is intent on building a diverse practice; she believes that everyone’s body is unique and responds differently to the stresses in life. She would be delighted to work with you to maintain your body at its optimum level. Through massage she is confident that she can assist you to eliminate the pain and tension associated with the everyday stresses of life.

Kim, you have convinced me NEVER to have a Thai massage (but I LOVE regular massages!) 🙂 This headshot is gorgeous! (And I have that lens and it is my FAVE!) 🙂

SeanAugust 6, 2009 - 6:05 pm

Haha, that Thai massage! This post has left me wanting a long full body massage… thanks, Kim 😛 Great new lens – enjoy!
