It is always assumed that Fujifilm‘s best-selling cameras are its X-series and GFX models. However, this is far from true. The company’s most profitable series is the Instax, which, as of 2025, had reportedly sold 00 million units around the world. Thus, it is no surprise that Fujifilm is now committed to growing this number, with 2026 introducing two new iterations in the Instax series: the Instax mini Evo Cinema camera and the mini Link+ printer. Here’s a look at what they offer.
Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo Cinema

The Fujifilm EVO Cinema is a hybrid instant camera that offers stills as well as short videos of 15-second clips. The still images can also be printed via the Instax Mini photo printer, making it an ideal 3-in-1 solution for all your needs. The mini Evo Cinema offers the look of “an 8mm video camera,” said Bing Liem, division president, Fujifilm North America Corporation, Imaging Division, and it allows users to “turn casual moments into unforgettable ones.” The video feature is the first of its kind, as previous Instax cameras were largely focused on still images. Some of its main features are as follows:
- Gen Dial: The camera features a first-of-its-kind dial that allows one to apply 10 different filters to their images. This includes the grainy tones of the 1930s era, the vibrant colors of the 1980s, and the sharp contrast of the 2020 digital era.
- Degree Control Dial Content: It helps to fine-tune the photo effects, such as adjusting color, contrast, and noise.
- Frame Switch: The button helps one to add a frame to every shot or video clip. The frame dial pays homage to the characteristics, media, and playback devices of the 10 eras that the camera offers.
- Cine/Still Mode: You can easily switch between videos and stills. In Cine mode, you can shoot clips of up to 15 seconds and then easily switch to stills by flicking the switch. One can create up to 30 seconds of video via the mini EVo smartphone app by adding clips.
- Zoom Lever: The camera features a built-in zoom lens, allowing you to work with various focal ranges.
- My Gallery: Users can categorize videos and stills within the app, and they also have access to categories such as Favorites, Printed, Video, Photo, and Projects to further streamline their process. One can also save printed images to their smartphone’s gallery.
- Video Printing: Users can access videos by scanning a QR code, which is ready to play back on a smartphone.
- Timeless Design: The camera resembles a Super 8 film camera, featuring an analog design with dials and a vertical grip. It also features a 1.54-inch high-resolution LCD, a print level, selfie mirror, self-timer, and a viewfinder. There are also USB-C and Micro SD card slots.
Fujifilm Instax Mini Link+ Printer

This is the latest iteration of the Instax Mini Link, which offers Simple Print mode, allowing you to print photos from your phone or Pinterest pin board. The Design Print mode is another addition that helps users capture every detail in their images, such as text, drawings, graphics, and more. Other features, such as Simulation mode and Multiple Print Mode, allow users to preview their images before printing and select up to 10 images in Simulation mode in a single step, respectively. Last but not least is the ability to print video, that is, frames from the moving clip, which can be used as physical frames.
Fujifilm is taking a step in the right direction, given how videos are central to social media. If you are someone who is keen on getting a hybrid Instax, please do have a look at our review on the website.
The Mini Evo Cinema camera will be available for $409, while the printer can be purchased for $169.95 starting in February.
