Digital cameras have undergone significant evolution over the years, with each new model offering enhanced ISO performance, improved dynamic range, and sharper images. While these devices are a need of the hour for many creators, the challenge persists for those who do not wish to spend hours on an editing table to make their work look like a film. To change things up a bit, we have decided to work on a round-up that showcases the best CCD sensor cameras, which give you the colors you expect from film.
Olympus XZ-1

The Olympus XZ1 is a camera equipped with a 10MP 1/1.630-inch CCD sensor. It also comes with a 28-112mm lens, ISO up to 6400, and 720p video recording. There is also a 3-inch LCD, and it weighs 275g. The camera is compact, features a beautiful LCD, and includes a pop-up flash. The autofocus is smart, and it doesn’t hunt for focusing as much. In fact, we felt the XZ-1 focuses better in low light than the EPL-2. The image quality is very good, and it also gets better color depth and the best dynamic range. As we said in our review, “Either way, the art filters are still very good and can take the place of using the High ISO settings if needed.” Overall, the camera offers great versatility, making it suitable for both casual shooters and enthusiasts.
Panasonic ZS-7

The Panasonic ZS-7 is a compact camera that comes with a 12MP 1/2.33-inch CCD sensor. It has an ISO up to 1600, a 25-300mm lens, a continuous shooting speed of 2.3fps, and can record 1280p videos. Designed for photographers who want to shoot mostly in auto mode, it feels excellent in the hand. It also has a good lens, which allows you to shoot far-off subjects. The autofocus is accurate, locks well in good lighting conditions, and the colors are quite impressive. The JPEGs are great, and ISO 80 shots show strong base image quality. Overall, it is a camera you will adore.
Nikon P7000

The Nikon P7000 has a 10MP 1/1.7-inch CCD sensor, EXPEED C2 processor, and a 28-200mm lens. There is also an ISO range of up to 3200, a 3-inch LCD, and 1280p video quality. The camera is small, compact, and designed for serious photographers. The build is strong, and the buttons are quite accessible. We were unable to review the camera, but in our initial experience, we found the autofocus to be quick and the colors to be pleasing. The video samples are also great. As we said in our hands-on experience, “A serious photographer on the go, but not wanting to carry a DSLR or a standard point & shoot would find this camera useful.”
