Real talk: if everyone who came to the site was charged $1, I’d have enough money in under a week to fund the website for the entire year without banner ads. Trust me, if I could get rid of banner ads, I would. But the truth is that they help the staff get paid, the server bill get settled, etc. And with the current state of the economy, things are tougher for publications than ever. But the Phoblographer’s annual banner-ad-free subscription is only $25/year. That’s kind of like you’re only paying a bit over $2 a month. With that said, if everyone who came to the site in the period of a month bought a year-long subscription, we’d have enough money to fund the website and grow it for several years to come.
The Phoblographer Subscription Membership Perks Include:
- No banner ads in The Phoblographer’s articles when using the mobile or desktop website after confirming the subscription.
- Discounts on Capture One products: The Phoblographer’s staff uses Capture One software for our product reviews. Manufacturers often recommend it to us.
- Discounts on Herbs and Kettle Tea: This perk is designed for photographers who want to focus their mind in a world where screens and social media are taking away our brain power. Reclaim your creativity for yourself.
- More benefits are coming soon!
- For membership support inquiries and instructions on how you use your benefits should be sent to admins(at)thephoblographer(dot)com
We’ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get all this done. And we’re working with other vendors to try to bring our members even more benefits.

We hate banner ads too. We know folks complain about them, but we also need to pay our staff a fair and living wage. Beyond that, we’re also one of the few outlets making and publishing original articles every single day.
