Bella Fiore !!!

I just have to spread the great news about Bella Fiore ! This is a floral design company owned by the incredibly sweet and oh so talented Sarina Chauhan. If you are in the market for some REALLY creative and unique flowers for your wedding I would highly recommend that you check her out. I did a wedding at the end of October and Bella Fiore had done the flowers and they were awesome ! Sarina had even arranged the centre pieces into pumpkins to fit with the fall theme – too cute !

You can find a link to her site in my ‘Links’ section. Here is her number too 250-516-7444

Sometimes mother nature is on team Kim !

This post is overdue but here it goes …

I’ve got to be honest with ya … having a wedding at the end of October made me a bit nervous about the weather and what kind of elements it was going to throw our way. WOW – I really need to have a bit more faith in mother nature because she REALLY REALLY came through for me big time for Cara and Andre’s wedding on October 25th. Their ceremony was at St. Patricks, so I knew we’d be safe inside there in case it was monsoon like outside. However, it turns out that the wedding on October 25th had some of the best weather I saw all Summer ! It was incredible. It helped that we weren’t to start taking photos until around 3:30 and the light was a delish golden hue by that point. It was cold, but damn it was such a beautiful sunny and perfect day. I couldn’t get over how perfect the lighting was. I wanted to take advantage of this fabulous lighting and snap photos like they were going out of style ! Everything looked amazing in this light and I was working so fast to get in as many excellent shots as I could. I have pasted some of their images below. Before I move on, I just have to say how honoured I was to work with Cara and Andre. Cara and I have developed a really great friendship since she first contacted me about doing her wedding. We really hit it off and I am truly happy to have had our paths cross. She is not only incredibly stunning (just wait till you see the pics!) but she is also incredibly thoughtful, down-to-earth and so happy and positive that you can’t help but love being in her presence. I could go on and on about her because I think she is truly fabulous …. but instead I will leave you with these pics of her and her amazing husband Andre.

On a completely different but totally related note – I have to get the word out …. Bella Fiore does awesome creative floral design for all your wedding flower needs !!! Sarina, who is the owner of the company is a wonderfully sweet woman and is incredibly talented and gifted. She also happened to do Andre and Cara’s flowers which you can see below ๐Ÿ™‚ Their flowers were fabulously unique! They even had done centre pieces which had the bouquets arranged in pumpkins which I just loved – too cute ! Cara’s bouquet was just stunning and the bridesmaids bouquets were equally impressive. I just wanted to get the word out and support a fellow entrepreneur with her amazing business. Please check out her website: http://www.bellafiorefloraldesign.com and her number is 250-516-7444 if you would like to discuss what kind of services she could provide for you.

Hi Kim!

WOW!!! These pictures look amazing, congratulations, what a great job. Looking at your pictures I see the bride and the groom “breathing” LOVE (with capital letters). I did not know that someone could ever capture that feeling is the way you did! Not only had you caught the feelings and vibrations between the happy couple, but also the environment, looks and posses. Most definitely you were born to do this job. Way to go Kim!

Big hug,

Mercedes

What an AWESOME wedding!! ๐Ÿ™‚

So cute I could eat him !!!

On the weekend I had a photo session with my best friend Lindsay’s sister Melissa and her handsome partner and fabulous father Ben with their ADORABLE son Kobe. The session was so laid back and I can’t tell you how much I love those ones. Those are the sessions that really make me pause for a second and say …. “people pay me to do this, man I am one lucky lady.” Those relaxing sessions truly make me feel so blessed that I can be doing what I love and having so much fun doing it. I love getting glimpses into peoples lives and fresh new experiences such as being new parents. Parenting seems so natural to these two. Hearing them both whistle to try to stop Kobe from crying just melted me ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope they love these images. I can’t wait to work with them again and see what a wonderful little man Kobe grows up to be !

Pumpkin Patch Cuties !

I had the pleasure of working for the second time, with my first ever best friend Dana, her wonderful and easy going fiance Scott and their adorable cutie patootie of a son, Marcus. Dana and I go wayyyyyyyy back and I am so honoured to have reconnected with her and her beautiful family. This is the second Fall photo session we have done, and she recently asked me to do the photos for her wedding next July and I can’t wait !!

Here’s a sneak peek Dana. Hope you love them !

Maui-Wowey !

So just so you know I pretty much have the coolest job in the world ! I was lucky enough to be apart of Megan and Aiden’s destination wedding in Maui – well actually they eloped so it was just them and me and my finance (my pack mule / assistant – and yes he knows I call him that!). Darren (my fabulous fiance) and I spent the first day scouting locations. We managed to find 5 really really cool spots that we wanted to use for sure. As you can imagine this is not a hard thing to do in Maui and I literally could have spent days and days photographing them. Narrowing it down to five was a feat in itself let me tell you ! The next day we ventured around the island stopping here and there, removing ourselves from our air conditioned haven of a rental vehicle to snap some photos. We got a full day of photography in before their ceremony even started ! Megan and Aiden were such good sports ! Darren and I were both extremely honoured to travel with this fabulous, easy going and incredibly photogenic couple and to be apart of their intimate traditional Hawaiian ceremony on the beach. It was an amazing trip. I have just scratched the surface of their photos but here are a few of my favs thus far. Megan and Aiden, thank you again with all my heart for such a wonderful wedding experience. You were my first destination wedding and I hope the beginning of many more to come!
