We are well aware of the troubles faced by nature, landscape, adventure, or outdoor photographers. From rugged terrains to water puddles to sudden, heavy rains, there is often something or the other that can affect your expensive arsenal. And so, during such times, a backpack that can withstand Mother Nature’s fury is the growing need of the hour. After all, such hurdles are like any other Tuesday in an outdoor photographer’s life. Keeping that in mind, we are very excited to share an update about Think Tank‘s popular camera bags, the Mind Shift BackLight series. What is it about? Read on and find out!

Mind Shift BackLight Camera Bags Just Became Cooler

Established in 2005, Think Tank camera bags are created by passionate photographers and designers who want to provide high-quality gear for outdoor photography. Throughout the years, the company has excelled in its product line through various innovations and better functional features. The Mind Shift Backlight series is one such creation, which comes in several sizes: Backlight Sprint, 18L, 26L, and 36L.
What makes these camera bags a favorite is their exciting rear panel access. As a result, one doesn’t have to remove their backpack to take out a lens or a flash. The feature, which is now slowly available in other camera bags, has proven to be great for those who photograph in muddy or wet locations.
To make things even better, Think Tank is now designing the Backlight backpacks using an extremely durable Dynatec nylon material. Furthermore, they have also introduced two exciting color options: Montane Green and Slate Black (pictured below). The former features shades of forest greens, while the latter is a mix of dark grey and black. We think the colors are quite exciting, as they meet the needs of both nature and adventurous photographers. The green can help to camouflage when shooting wildlife, while the latter is a better option if your work is in muddy conditions.

What Makes Think Tank Such An Exciting Option
The Backlight series of camera bags was launched in 2018, and we discussed its features then. For instance, it comes with lumbar support and a padded waist belt, both of which are crucial if you are hiking with heavy gear. On the inside, the adjustable dividers created using closed-cell foam safeguard your equipment. You can, of course, customize it as per your requirements. Other features such as pockets, YKK RC fuse zippers, a water-resistant coating, and a seam-sealed rain cover are some additional options that users will appreciate.
We have reviewed some camera bags from the company, and we have been satisfied with them so far. For instance, their Retrospective backpack uses Canva and leather, making it more fashionable and resourceful. This is specifically designed for those who shoot within the city, like portrait photographers or photojournalists. On the other hand, their Retrospective 7 V2 just did not impress us.
Since we have not tested the Backlight camera bags, discussing their quality or durability will be impossible. However, using better materials sounds like the company is continuing to evolve per its customers’ needs. Perhaps we will finally get bags that are not just durable but also stylish.
