Fujifilm cameras have been pretty exceptional in many ways. The company showcased the prowess of what APS-C can achieve with the X-Trans sensors, with series such as the X-Pro, X-T, and X-H excelling the most. Today, we take a look at older Fujifilm cameras that, despite their 16MP sensor, can produce results similar to film on a digital sensor. As exciting as it sounds, it certainly is wonderful for young photographers. Have a look.
Fujifilm X-Pro 1

The X Pro 1 features ISO up to 25,600, a 3-inch LCD, 49 autofocus points, and a burst rate of 6fps. The camera is reminiscent of rangefinder cameras, featuring a focusing-type switch and a durable design. However, it lacks weather sealing, so you must be cautious. Since this is an over a decade old camera, the focusing is slower than what you see today. This includes low-light autofocusing capabilities. But the camera makes up for it in the image quality department; the images on film simulation mode actually look like they were shot on film. The depiction of the sin tone is fantastic, and the RAW files require you to work as if you are in a dark room. It is highly recommended in our list.
Fujifilm X100T

The Fujifilm X100T is a compact camera from the company that features a 23mm f2 lens, along with a hybrid optical and electronic viewfinder, and can record full HD videos at 60p. It features a lever for the virefinder, and the body is constructed entirely of metal, making it very lightweight. While the camera is easy to carry around, the challenge is the autofocus, which can lag. But that aside, the image quality will keep you on your toes. The colors are accurate, and the low-light images are clean and perfect. The latter allows you to push your ISO to 4000, which by modern standards seems low, but it isn’t. It is a camera that you will want to take everywhere.
Fujifilm X-E2

The X-E2 is another camera that sits comfortably between the X-A and the X-Pro lineup. The X-E2 features the EXR Processor II, a 3-inch LCD, a 7fps burst rate, and focus peaking. While the camera is not weather-sealed, it features a metal and leatherette body, as well as a rangefinder design. The camera is low-light friendly, delivering clean results with minimal grain. There are also bright colors and details, and it does its magic when paired with a 35mm f1.4 lens. The JPEGs can be easily uploaded with Wi-Fi, and often you require minimal editing. So, if you want a camera that gives you the best results in-camera, this one is for you.
