We love our compact cameras and adore retro products; we certainly enjoyed the Camp Snap camera, which combines the best of both worlds. What if we told you there’s an extra level of enjoyment you can experience with a new version of Camp Snap now, one that provides an added tactile pleasure. Read on to know more.

The little Jpeg shooting wonder, Camp Snap, has announced two new versions of its popular screen-free camera. While it’s probably not what you might expect, there’s still something to smile about here. Camp Snap is now available in two luxurious-looking velvet versions, perfect for those who prefer something beyond the standard exterior. The new red and blue velvet options aren’t typically what you’d expect a camera manufacturer to provide as an exterior finish to their cameras. However, Camp Snap isn’t a typical camera company. We really had fun with the screen-free experience some years ago during our tests:
“Right from the start, everyone I showed it to fell in love with the looks. The device reminds me of some sort of retro camera from the film days. It’s designed to look and feel like a disposable camera. But it’s not. In fact, the company did quite a bit of keep it at around $45. For example, there’s no LCD screen — and I love that”

Aside from the denim finish option, all the other models have had different-colored leatherette finishes on the exterior. Now the company has introduced red velvet and blue velvet finishes for those who want to feel something entirely different on their photography outings. These give you a nostalgic analog compact camera experience in the digital world, and it’s great to see photographers having so many body options with this model. Styled pretty much like a disposable camera you may have used in the 80s and 90s, this brings a digital touch and a stress free experience
Christmas is around the corner, and these two velvet models might make the perfect gift for a photographer in your life. Stock appears to be extremely limited, as indicated on their website, so place your order right away if you want your fingers to have a silky and indulgent feel while holding a camera.
